Arun Sarwal photo

Arun Sarwal, Chief Executive

Arun was appointed CEO in September 2012. He joined the company in 2008 as Chief Executive for Investment Management Solutions. He has over 25 years' of global financial services experience with particular emphasis in investment banking, investment & wealth management and outsourcing.

Prior to joining DST he was the Chief Operating Officer at Scottish Widows Investment Partnership. During his career, he has worked in senior positions with ABN AMRO, Société Generale and KPMG and has gained experience of working in over 25 countries. Arun is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England & Wales as well as the Chartered Institute of Marketing. He is a Corporate Treasurer and has an MBA from Cranfield. He is the author of the International Handbook of Financial Instruments & Transactions.

 

Rhys Octigan

Rhys Octigan, Business Development -  Australia & New Zealand

Rhys joined the company in 1993 and has worked in New Zealand, Japan, Indonesia, Hong Kong and the UK.  Having over 25 years of experience in the financial services industry, Rhys has worked across a broad scope of areas including asset management, financial markets, business analytics and development and portfolio management for buy-side institutions, custodial banks and third party administrators.

Prior to joining DST, Rhys also held positions with the ANZ Bank in funds management and the Australian Tax Office.  Rhys holds a Bachelor of Business (Accounting & Economics) from RMIT University.

 

Rick McCarthy

Rick McCarthy, Business Development - Americas

Rick joined the company in 2011.

He started his career with SunGard and has held several senior positions including Group CEO of SunGard Energy, Vice President of Asia Pacific and President of SunGard affiliate Renaissance Software. McCarthy holds a Masters degree from Thunderbird School of Global Management.

 

 

 

Justin Nottage

 

Justin Nottage, Business Development - UK, Europe & Middle East

Justin joined the company in 1996 and has over 20 years experience in the banking and financial services industry. During his time with the company, Justin has managed departments in Professional Services, Development and Support in the UK, Asia and South Africa. He has also project managed some of our largest and most successful software implementations.  

Prior to joining DST he worked in front office trading positions at DKB and SBC (now UBS) helping to establish the first OTC derivatives trading desks in London. Before moving on to head up the Money Market desk at Nomura International in London. 

Fran Thompson

 

Fran Thompson -  Business Development - Asia

Fran joined the company in 2012.

She has over 20 years experience in the Financial Services industry having held a number of senior roles,  most recently Regional Account Director at SunGard Global Trading and Deputy Managing Director, Asia Pacific at FTSE. Fran has also held positions with Thomson Financial and Greenline. She is based at the company’s Asian headquarters in Hong Kong.

 

Julian Webb

 

Julian Webb, Investment Data Management & Analytics (DM&A)

Julian joined the company in 2011. He has has more than 15 years' financial markets technology experience. Prior to joining DST he was Chief Operating Officer of a boutique software company where his responsibilities included the successful launch and growth of the firm's investor relationship management software business.

Julian began his career at JPMorgan and spent nine years there in a variety of business and technology roles within the foreign exchange and fixed income trading businesses. His experience also includes work as an investment manager in technology venture capital. Julian has an Engineering Science degree from Cambridge University and an MBA.

Geoff Harries

 

Geoff Harries, Asset Servicing  

Geoff joined the company in 2010. He has over 15 years of experience in delivering solutions to Asset Servicers and Asset Managers.

Prior to joining the company, he was Vice President of Product Strategy at Fiserv, where he managed the product strategy, product management and marketing functions of the company's investment services software solutions.

 


Robert Childs

 

Robert Childs, Pensions and Actuarial Services

Rob joined the company in the acquisition of PAS in 2006.  He was appointed to his current role in 2008 and has led PAS ever since. He has over 20 years experience within the pensions industry working for Crown Financial Management and Liberata before joining PAS in 2002.

His early career coincided with the emergence of technology as a transforming force and Rob's work increasingly involved a combination of technology and pensions. Since joining PAS his focus has been on combining actuarial disciplines with technology with to provide calculation led solutions to the Financial Services industry. 


Mark Hallett

 

Mark Hallett, Client Services

Mark joined the company in 1995 and was promoted to his current role in 2012. Mark and his team provide ongoing support for all client implementations, upgrades and live production systems for our complete suite of Investment Management Solutions.

Prior to joining the company  Mark worked at the London Stock Exchange, the investment accounting software division of the Financial Times and as a consultant with Portfolio Management Software Ltd, promoting, implementing and supporting the first implementations of the HiPortfolio product within the European marketplace.


Simon Johnson

 

Simon Johnson, Commercial & Strategy

Simon joined the company in 2009. Prior to that he worked at the strategy team at Cable & Wireless, the FTSE100 telecommunications business, where he was responsible for M&A, Board advisory and strategic planning; other experience includes leadership roles in private equity and venture development in the UK and the US.

He started his career at Baring Brothers International Ltd, specialising in developed market M&A advisory, and is a graduate of the University of Oxford. 

 

 

Deena Dawes

 

Deena Dawes,  Customer Management Solutions

Deena joined the company in 2002.  She has over 18 years experience in software industry with a particular focus on delivery. During her time with the company she has undertaken a number of different roles across the range of DST products.

Prior to joining the company she has had roles at BNY running teams and providing an interface to a large fund manager in the City. Deena started her career as a consultant at Cap Gemini.

 

 

Tatyana Kosheleva

Tatyana Kosheleva - Finance

 Tatyana joined the company in 2010.

Prior to this she worked for OppenheimerFunds based in the US as well as IBM moving through Outsourcing, Business Consulting and Software businesses in various locations. Tatyana is a licensed CPA and holds an MBA degree from the Thunderbird School of Global Management in the US. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA).

 

 

 

Jo Banfield

Jo Banfield – Human Resources

Jo joined the company in 2008, and was promoted to Global HR Director in November 2012.

Jo has worked in senior HR roles across a number of industries over the last 15 years and has worked for Marks and Spencer, Ford Motor Company, Centrica and AOL UK. Recent roles have focused particularly on delivering Change and Talent programmes.
